when she was seven or eight she decided to roller skate on the roof of the house. She hadn't been up there long when she saw fire engines in the distance. Very exciting, but she didn't see any fires. The engines got closer until they arrived at her house; they'd been called to get her down from the roof.
Dared to touch her tongue to a frozen pole, she took the dare. (when young)
She began the day with calls of "rise and shine" and singing (which bothered me, not a morning person in those days). She sang often, usually making up her own words. I could sometimes avoid kitchen duty by playing songs, she'd sing along while cleaning up.
She hated making meatloaf or other things that involved getting stuff on her hands. She wasn't fond of cooking in general though she did it without complaining. Sometimes Dad would come home from work, send her to take a nap, then make something unusual for dinner (stuffed peppers, e.g.)
Ask some questions, I'm not thinking of much.
